Aviado Partners responds to rumours of Tom Enders appointment as Lufthansa Group Board Chairman

Tom Enders is rumoured to be appointed as the next Board Chairman at Lufthansa Group. Aviado was interviewed to provide insights for an article published by German business magazine Wirtschaftswoche.

The airline has always had great leaders & regular change (sometimes uncomfortable change) is necessary to keep a company fresh & competitive. Although airlines seem to be printing money these days, this is not a sustainable situation and sometime within the tenure of the next Board Chair there will be turbulence.

Tom Enders is a proven corporate warrior. If the rumours are true, Lufthansa Group would have a battle-ready professional in the seat. With major turmoil ahead and plenty of challenges on different fronts - no less than ITA acquisition, fleet changes, 777X delays, challenges with introducing the new business class (deja Vu from the last C class seat intro by LH), Airbus A320neo engine problems, alliance shakeups, etc. - there are plenty of topics on the table for the group airlines.
