Aviado Partners wins mandate to assist SATA International to determine its future fleet mix based on an evaluation of a long term network optimization.

Aviado Partners Consulting GmbH, a leading international airline consulting firm, has won a highly contested tender to provide commercial airline consulting services in the area of network optimization and long term fleet planning for one of the world's oldest airlines. SATA Internacional comprises of the airline's wide-body and narrow-body fleets service the Portuguese mainland, Europe, Madeira, Canada and the United States. The airline's network stretches from California to Scandinavia.

 

Having refreshed the regional fleet operated by SATA Açores, SATA Internacional engaged Aviado Partners to conduct a comprehensive "blue-ocean" review of it's international network in order to determine the optimal fleet requirement.

 

This engagement requires Aviado Partners to

• Evaluate the performance of the current network

• Identify opportunities for optimization in the short term

• Forecast traffic growth potential for the future

• Identify future aircraft requirement & gap to current fleet

• Evaluate the network impact of various fleet mix scenarios

As a result of the study, Aviado Partners has evaluated a wide range of wide-body and narrow-body aircraft options and has been assisting the airline with detailed commercial performance discussions with the leading aircraft manufacturers - Boeing and Airbus. Aircraft considered includes the latest models of re-engined narrow-body Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737MAX families.
